Olid names team to face Liverpool

Manchester United Women host Liverpool in the team’s landmark 250th competitive fixture, with Eva Olid making eight changes to the side that started the 5-1 midweek victory over Durham.

For this Barclays WSL fixture, United remain unchanged from the side that began against West Ham at the Progress With Unity Stadium last weekend.

Centre-back pairing Maya Le Tissier and Dominique Janssen keep their places from the trip to the north east, as does right-back Hanna Lundkvist.

Phallon Tullis-Joyce returns in goal, replacing Janina Leitzig. Anna Sandberg, Julia Zigiotti, Hinata Miyazawa, Jess Park, Ella Toone, Andrea Medina and Elisabeth Terland are also back in the XI.

Mared Griffiths and Rebeca Bernal - among the nominees for our September Player of the Month award alongside the aforementioned Medina and Lundkvist - are both among the substitutes.

Monica Jusu Bah, another goalscorer from the trip to Durham, as well as Scarlet Hill, Simi Awujo, Lea Schuller and Ellen Wangerheim, complete today's squad.
