Manchester United is proud to introduce a new and enhanced Audio Descriptive Commentary (ADC) service for blind and partially sighted supporters at both Old Trafford and the Progress with Unity Stadium at Leigh Sports Village.

Developed with Alan March Sport (AMS), the new service delivers rich, real-time audio description designed specifically for supporters with visual impairments, helping bring every tackle, pass, and shot to life.

Unlike traditional commentary, Audio Descriptive Commentary focuses on painting a complete picture of the action, atmosphere and key moments as they happen.

Launch Fixtures

3 October: United Women v Liverpool (Progress with Unity Stadium) 10 October: United v Tottenham Hotspur (Old Trafford)

These fixtures will mark the first opportunity for supporters to experience the club's new generation of ADC receivers and enhanced descriptive commentary service.

Working together

This exciting initiative has been developed with Alan March Sport, one of the leading providers of Audio Descriptive Commentary in football, delivering services across clubs throughout the UK and major international tournaments.

The launch has also been made possible through the support of the Manchester United Disabled Supporters' Association (MUDSA), whose continued commitment to improving accessibility helps ensure that every supporter can enjoy matchday in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Fans will be able to listen to Audio Descriptive Commentary.

How to Access the Service

Request: Supporters who wish to request a commentary headset should contact accessibility@manutd.co.uk with their Supporter ID and seat details, or apply through the club ticket office, at least 24 hours prior to kick-off.

Delivery: Matchday Accessibility Team will deliver the audio device directly to your seat on matchday.

Headphones: While a small number of earphones are available; supporters are encouraged to bring their own (standard 3.5mm jack) for comfort and hygiene.

Return: Please return your receiver to a steward after the final whistle. Receivers are provided for individual matches and cannot be retained for future matches or for the remainder of the season.

At Manchester United, we believe football should be accessible to everyone. This new Audio Descriptive Commentary service represents another step forward in creating an inclusive matchday experience where every supporter can share in the excitement, passion and atmosphere of the game.

We look forward to welcoming supporters to experience the new ADC service this October.
