Watch 'A Day in the Life' with Andrea Medina!

A new episode of 'A Day in the Life' has just dropped, featuring popular Manchester United Women defender Andrea Medina.

The Spaniard has become a favourite among fans since signing for the club in the summer, and scored her first goal for the Reds on Sunday, the decisive effort in our Barclays Women's Super League win over West Ham United.

That strike helped her land both our and the WSL's Player of the Match award for the second successive league game, highlighting the early impact that she is having on the pitch as a Red.

Now, the 22-year-old has given you an exclusive look at the work she is doing behind the scenes at Carrington, where she has clearly settled since arriving in Manchester, after four seasons with Atletico de Madrid.

Our footage shows the camaraderie 'Medi' has already built with everyone at the training ground, not least captain Maya Le Tissier and striker Elisabeth Terland, who feature as we join Medina in the canteen, gym and out on the training pitches – with a body cam!

Before all of that, the episode begins inside Andrea's car as she checks in at Carrington. Watch the feature in full below, as we pick out some of our favourite things we see in the short film...

HOW MEDI PREPARES FOR A DAY

At breakfast, Medi gives us a flavour of how she fuels for a day as a United player. She says scrambled eggs with ham and cheese is what she likes for breakfast. To drink? A self-assembled smoothie that Maya gives full marks for taste, and two shots of ginger and lemon. “So good for your body,” she tells our camera.

INSIGHT INTO A CELEBRATION?

After breakfast in the canteen, we watch Andrea head into the gym to prepare for training. Terland opened the scoring in last Sunday's win over West Ham and did a celebration with Maya and Medi – where she was propped up by sitting on their knees – that may well have been created on the back of a conversation captured by our cameras. “We need to have a symbol when one of us scores,” Maya puts to the group in footage filmed before that victory.

'MY ENGLISH IS SO GOOD!'

If you saw our 'Welcome to Manchester' feature with Medi recently, you will know how much she is enjoying learning English, and the local Mancunian lingo in particular. Her Day in the Life episode now shows how she is mastering the language after a couple of months in the UK, and how Terland's equally impressive Spanish skills are also helping, if required. Teri translates for Andrea, as she gives us a rundown of the day's training session in her native tongue, on the way out to the pitches.

INSIDE THE REDS' RONDO

Once Andrea and co are out on the grass, we get an unparalleled look at the work the Reds are doing in training. Medi wears a camera on her chest for the first part of the session, taking you into the heart of United's drills, and is mic'd up while receiving directions from head coach Eva Olid. That access is another fascinating part of the episode, which wraps up with the Spaniard tucking into her lunch in the canteen, after another workout in the gym.

DID YOU SEE CELIN'S EPISODE?

Medina's team-mate Celin Bizet Donnum was the first Red to star in our 'A Day in the Life' series.

Celin's episode – which fans have been enjoying since its release last week – charts the Norwegian winger's recent return to Carrington, after her time away on maternity leave.
