England international Beth Mead signed for Manchester City in the summer of 2026 following nine-and-a-half years at Arsenal.

She joined the Gunners in January 2017 after helping Sunderland to four trophies, but following her switch to north London, sheestablished herself as one of the game’s finest attackers in the seasons to come.

During the 2018/19 campaign, she was an integral cog in the Londoners’ team who won the Barclays Women’s Super League title as she topped the assists chart across the division.

Her tally of 12 across that triumphant campaign is still the highest across a single English women’s top-flight term and she departs Arsenal with the most WSL assists of all-time.

As she continued to play at the highest level for club and country, the 2021/22 season wasarguably her finest to date. Once again, she registered the most WSL assists across the campaign and was the third-highest goalscorer in the division as Arsenal finished a point behind champions, Chelsea.

After the curtain fell on the domestic season, Mead played a vital role in England’s legendary 2022 European Championship triumph as the Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 after extra-time in Wembley’s final.

By the end of the iconic competition, she won Player of the Tournament, the Golden Boot, grabbed the most assists and was named in the Team of the Tournament.

Later in 2022, she was named BBC Sports Personality of the Yearandfinished second in the Ballon d’Or rankings– but there was further glory to come for the forward.

She provided the assist for Stina Blackstenius’ winner Arsenal’s 1-0 2025 Champions League final win over Barcelona – and Mead arrives at Manchester City with 12 honours to her name, including the 2025 Euros.

The England international penned a three-year deal at the Joie Stadium and she will wear the number 7 shirt during her time with the Blues.
