Towering shot stopper

Anna Moorhouse signed a short-term loan with Manchester City on deadline day in the summer of 2026.

The England international has returns to the Barclays Women’s Super League after four years in the NSWL, where she represented Orlando Pride and won the 2024 NWSL Championship and Shield.

Just prior to her move to the United States, Moorhouse also spent two seasons with French outfit Bordeaux.

The move across Europe called time on her eight-year stint in England which saw her represent Everton, Durham, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Arsenal and West Ham.

One of Moorhouse’s biggest honours was being named in Sarina Wiegman’s 2025 Euros squad which successfully retained the prestigious trophy.

She also holds the record for the most clean sheets in a single season in the NWSL, registering 13 shutouts for Orlando Pride in 2024 en route to an unbeaten season.

Now, the experienced goalkeeper has returned to Manchester, a familiar sight for someone who was born in Oldham, as she looks to provide depth in Andrée Jeglertz’s goalkeeper group for the remainder of the year.
