Medeama SC Host Basake Holy Stars in Western Derby

Defending champions Medeama SC are searching for their first victory of the 2026/27 campaign when they face Basake Holy Stars in a Western derby this Sunday. Medeama have endured a slow start, drawing their opening three matches, including a mid-week 2-2 draw with Dreams FC. The club remains winless in four matches across all competitions but relies on a strong home record at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium, where they have won their last four league matches.

Basake Holy Stars travel with confidence after a recent 1-0 win against FC Ashantigold ’04. The visitors boast a strong defense that has conceded only once so far. With Medeama’s potent home attack and Basake’s defensive resilience, the match is expected to be a tightly contested affair.
