Hohoe United demoted to Division Two after four-year ban

Hohoe United will restart their competitive journey in the Greater Accra Division Two after the GFA confirmed a multi-season suspension for the club's withdrawal from the Ghana Premier League. The ruling on May 1, 2026, strips the club of its elite status.

In addition to the ban, the GFA ordered a refund of the GH₵1 million provided to the club for the 2025/26 season. Players have been granted free-agent status, effectively clearing the squad. The club remains responsible for settling outstanding debts to the GFA despite the suspension.
