Medeama SC Return to Top of League Standings

Medeama SC reclaimed the top spot in the Ghana Premier League after a commanding 2-0 win over last-placed Eleven Wonders at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium on Friday. The victory provides a one-point lead over Bibiani Gold Stars FC, though the title race remains tight as the season nears its conclusion.

The hosts asserted dominance early, with Kelvin Obeng scoring a header in the 22nd minute off a Fatawu Sulemana corner. Salim Adams added a second with a free-kick just six minutes later. Despite controlling possession, Medeama could not extend the lead further. The team now awaits the result of Gold Stars' upcoming match against Karela United to determine if they remain at the summit.
