Zaidan strikes late to hand Karela victory over Hearts

In a tightly contested Matchday 4 encounter at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Karela United claimed a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak. The hosts dominated the early proceedings, but Hearts remained resilient until the closing stages. Mohammed Zaidan eventually broke the deadlock late in the game, capitalizing on an unmarked position to poke the ball past Hearts deputy goalkeeper Sharif Shuaib, who was filling in for the absent Benjamin Asare.

The victory provides a significant boost for Karela following their recent stoppage-time loss to Aduana FC. For Hearts of Oak, the defeat concludes their initial unbeaten streak of two wins and a draw. Both teams now turn their attention to upcoming league fixtures, with Karela set to face Asante Kotoko and Hearts scheduled to meet Dreams FC.
