Hohoe United face 72-hour deadline to appeal GFA sanction
· TotalSports1Plus
Hohoe United have been given three days to challenge a GFA ruling that includes a multi-season suspension and significant financial penalties.
The GFA Disciplinary Committee has ruled that Hohoe United must serve a multi-season suspension following their withdrawal from the Ghana Premier League. The club has 72 hours from the May 1, 2026, notification to file an appeal.
The sanctions include the loss of the club's top-flight status and a requirement to refund GH₵1 million in GFA financial support, alongside equipment provided for the 2025/26 season. Furthermore, the club's registered players have been granted free-agent status, allowing them to depart, although the club remains liable for any outstanding financial commitments to the GFA.
