Kotoko Coach Eric Tinkler Labels Victory Over Heart of Lions as 'Ugly but Necessary'

Asante Kotoko secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Emmanuel Mamah and Isaac Opoku Agyemang were enough to earn the three points, despite a late penalty conversion by Francis Odoom for the visitors.

In his post-match comments, head coach Eric Tinkler praised the resilience of his squad while acknowledging that Heart of Lions created significant problems. Tinkler admitted that the team struggled to control the game even after being numerically superior following a red card, describing the win as 'ugly' but ultimately necessary for the team's momentum.
