· TotalSports1Plus
Daniel Nii Adjei, assistant coach of Heart of Lions, insists that Nations FC possesses the necessary motivation to compete in Africa despite their Division One status.
Nations FC, having won the MTN FA Cup last season, is set to represent Ghana in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup. Despite their relegation to the Division One League, Heart of Lions assistant coach Daniel Nii Adjei stated that the Kumasi-based club remains highly motivated to make an impact on the continental stage.
Nii Adjei, who recently observed Nations FC during a friendly match, noted that the team has bolstered their squad with several foreign players. The FA Cup winners face Mali's FC Diarra in the first preliminary round, with the first leg scheduled for September 4-6 and the return leg on September 11-13.
