GFA orders Hohoe United to return GH₵1 million
· TotalSports1Plus
Hohoe United have been ordered to repay GH₵1 million in support funds following their withdrawal from the 2025/26 league.
The GFA Disciplinary Committee has issued a ruling requiring Hohoe United to refund the GH₵1 million they received for the 2025/26 season, plus equipment and logistical support. The order follows the club’s April 1, 2026, decision to exit the league, which was classified as a serious breach of regulations.
Beyond the financial penalty, the club has been handed a three-season ban from GFA competitions. The ruling stipulates that these sanctions do not negate any outstanding debts the club owes to the Association. Hohoe United maintains the right to appeal the decision within the provided timeframe.
