Ibrahim Tanko Predicts Tough Title Defense for Medeama SC

Following a narrow 1-0 victory against Port City, Medeama SC manager Ibrahim Tanko has warned that the club’s quest to retain their Ghana Premier League title will be demanding. Medeama, who secured the championship last season, have started the 2026/27 campaign strongly with eight points from their first four games.

Tanko noted that other clubs are highly prepared for the new season and the target on Medeama’s back as defending champions adds significant pressure. Despite the team's positive start, the coach emphasized that repeating their recent success will require consistent effort and focus as the campaign progresses.
