The President pledged government support through a new sports development fund and encouraged private sector investment to bolster the game [L23]. As part of the government's backing for the teams' upcoming campaigns, Medeama received $30,000, Nations FC received $20,000, and Ampem Darkoa Ladies received $10,000 [L23]. Mahama highlighted the need to build stronger clubs that can consistently compete for continental titles [L23].
