Hohoe United handed four-year ban for league withdrawal

· TotalSports1Plus

Hohoe United have been suspended from domestic football for four years and demoted to Division Two after exiting the Ghana Premier League.

The GFA Disciplinary Committee has imposed a four-year suspension on Hohoe United, keeping the club out of domestic football until the 2029/30 season. This follows the club's unauthorized withdrawal from the 2025/26 league campaign on April 1, 2026.

All players are now free agents, and the club must return all financial and logistical support received from the GFA this season. Once the ban expires, the club will be demoted to the Greater Accra Division Two. The club has three days to lodge an appeal against the committee's findings.
