Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi Seals Stellenbosch Transfer

Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper and Ghana international Solomon Agbasi has signed a long-term deal with South African top-flight club Stellenbosch FC.

Solomon Agbasi, the 25-year-old Ghanaian international goalkeeper, has joined South African Premier Soccer League outfit Stellenbosch FC on a long-term contract. Formerly of Hearts of Oak, Agbasi was a travelling reserve for Ghana during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and was previously instrumental in Dreams FC’s run to the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

The goalkeeper will compete for the starting role with teammates Sage Stephens and Nathan Garrow. Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Agbasi stated that he feels at home within his new club and is eager to help the team reach the top four and compete in continental championships. He will wear the No. 16 shirt and is eligible to debut against Kaizer Chiefs on October 17, 2026.
