Arsenal goalkeeper claims September prize after crucial penalty save to deny Le Fee
David Raya has won the Coca-Cola Save of the Month award for the fourth time for his crucial penalty save against Sunderland.
The Arsenal goalkeeper dived at full stretch to divert Enzo Le Fee’s spot-kick onto the post with both sides level at 0-0.
It proved to be a vital intervention as just two minutes later Arsenal took the lead through Bruno Guimaraes before Bukayo Saka sealed a 2-0 win with a penalty in stoppage time.
Raya now sits outright second for the most Save of the Month wins, ahead of Andre Onana and Aaron Ramsdale, and one behind Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who claimed his fifth award in August.
Player Total
Jordan Pickford 5

The Spaniard's save was chosen as the best in September after votes from the public were combined with those of a panel of experts.
Raya featured twice among the five nominees – his save against Chelsea was also shortlisted - alongside stops from Crystal Palace’s Dean Henderson, Manchester City’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, Liverpool’s Alisson Becker and Fulham’s Bernd Leno.
August: Jordan Pickford (Everton) September: David Raya (Arsenal)
