Second Chance League offers new start in FPL and match tickets

2026-10-01

New and current Fantasy managers will automatically enter global league that starts scoring in Gameweek 6

Did you miss the start of the season in Fantasy Premier League? Or have you had a bad start?

Well, either way there’s a new "Second Chance League" that starts scoring on zero points in Gameweek 6 after the deadline at 11:00 BST on Saturday 10 October , so you’ve got a fresh start!

There's an incredible prize on offer for the winner - two tickets to a Premier League match of your choice and a travel package.

Managers who already have an FPL team in the 2026/27 season will be automatically entered into the league, while new managers will be added once they register a team.

With stars like Cole Palmer (£9.7m), Bukayo Saka (£9.5m) and Alexander Isak (£9.1m) already stepping up this season and rivalling the most expensive players Erling Haaland (£15.6m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.9m), there are big decisions to make and plenty of points on offer.

The Second Chance League gives managers who didn't sign up at the start of the season the opportunity to pick a 15-man squad armed with all the information gained over the opening five Gameweeks, such as who's in form, new tactics from nine new Premier League managers and changes in set-piece takers.

This provides a great opportunity to make a fast start, compete at the top of the league and win the prize.

To help you, The Scout has picked the dream squad for new starters.

If you've already got a 2026/27 Fantasy team but have had a tough time, falling behind your mini-league rivals over the opening five Gameweeks, the Second Chance League gives you a fresh start and a new competition to focus on.

If you still have your Wildcard chip available, you could play it now ahead of Gameweek 6 and select a brand new 15-man squad, including the picks with the best form and fixtures. Again, The Scout's squad above is a great place to start.

For managers who have already used their Wildcard, any saved free transfers could be used to give your team a boost and set you up for a fast start to the Second Chance League.

Please note there is no cup competition for the Second Chance League.

As well as the Second Chance League, don't forget you can also create your own new mini-leagues that start scoring in Gameweek 6, so those duels with family, friends and colleagues can either begin afresh or new rivalries can be built.

It's easy for FPL admins to create their own mini-leagues that start from 10 October.
