Berekum Chelsea beat Debibi United 3-0 to end winless run

Berekum Chelsea ended their three-match winless run in emphatic fashion with a comfortable victory over debutants Debibi United at the Golden City Park on Sunday.

The win lifted the Bibires out of the relegation zone after they scored once in the first half before adding two more goals after the break to seal all three points.

Chelsea made a fast start, with Stephen Kwakye opening the scoring just eight minutes into the game.

The hosts returned from the break with renewed purpose and doubled their lead in the 68th minute through Dramani Awuah before Emmanuel Ofosu produced a fine finish in the 90th minute to complete the victory.

Debibi United’s search for their first away win in the Ghana Premier League continues after they were outplayed by their hosts.

The defeat has pushed the Oziii Ozaa boys into the relegation zone, leaving them with plenty to do as they prepare to host Bibiani Gold Stars in their next fixture.

Berekum Chelsea, meanwhile, will hope to build on this convincing performance when they travel to Kpando to face Heart of Lions.
