AS Roma 0-6 FC Barcelona: Big win ahead of the Clásico
2026-09-30
European champions continue to win big, with players returning and more positive vibes ahead of Real Madrid visit
A great game by Barça away to Roma saw them run out 0-6 winners to keep building the positivity into the season. It's another big victory in the Champions League after the win against París FC, and this time Graham and Pina both got braces, Pajor got one and there was an own goal. What's more, Aitana got more minutes, Van Asten returned to the pitch, and the three U-20 world champions played.
Graham with the stardust
Pere Romeu picked the same starting eleven as the victory against Paris FC. While the home side tried to use the space, the blaugranes dominated possession and positional play, while Graham was showing she was in the mood from early on.
The Norwegian winger was popping up between the lines and running down the right flank, and it culminated in a great trademark goal . She picked up the ball in midfield, progressed, leaving opponents in her wake before finishing superbly past Baldi (0-1, min. 19). The goal emboldened the visitors even further and it showed on the pitch.
Graham then went very close to her brace as she turned a Pajor pass towards goal, but Baldi blocked. There were chances from both full backs through Sydney, Brugts, and then Sydney again. The second goal did end up coming, but somewhat fortuitously, as smart play between Brugts and Pina, led to Graham trying to find the latter, but her pass was turned into her own net by Oladipo (0-2, min. 39).
Relentless
Two goals up at the break, but it was almost three as Pina hit a defender in added time with the keeper out of goal. Her goal would soon come though, as Serrajordi regained possession, Pajor assisted and the number 9 scored with the cross shot (0-3, min. 54). There would be three more for Barça by the end, but the best effort of the match didn't go in, as Patri missed by just centimetres way back from midfield.
A great goal did come though, from the relentless Caroline Graham Hansen , who showed a great change of pace to shake off opponents, before stroking in the fourth (0-4, min. 60). There was more good news away from the goals, as Pere Romeu could bring on Aitana for half an hour , plus three U-20 world champions (Aïcha, Carla Julià y Rosalía) and Van Asten also returned from injury and even ended up assisting the final goal.
Before that Claudia Pina got her brace with a shot from the edge of the area after a wicked deflection (0-5, min. 75). Then Ewa Pajor got her third Champions League goal this season (0-6, min. 85) to round off a big win ahead of the Liga F Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou, with the blaugranes in good shape.
