Alessia felt that we let the game get away from ourselves in the second half as we drew 2-2 with Paris FC

Alessia Russo felt that we let the game get away from us in the second half as we let a 2-0 lead slip in our eventful draw with Paris FC.
Our no.23 had opened the scoring in the first half before Georgia Stanway doubled the lead after the break, but a controversial late penalty saw the hosts snatch a point.
"I mean, not ideal," Alessia said on the dropped points, "I think we lost control of the second half a little way before [the penalty] anyway.
"So it's about managing the game a little bit better. I also think the first half, and throughout the game, we had some really, really good spells, so now it's about using that to push forward."
While the game came to a disappointing end in Paris, the first half had seen us take control through Alessia's first goal of the season.
Tonight's game was the first where we've scored twice this season, which our England striker saw as a positive.
"I always want to try and score and create, and yeah, it was about finding the half the yard to get a shot off tonight, so I'm happy to do that.
"I think maybe [it's] an area we've been not confident in, in the last few games, but I see it every day in training, the quality that we have.
"I didn't think it was going to take us long, I think that it was nice to see that, but also just credit to all of us, the staff. We've been working really hard behind the scenes, really pushing, and we'll continue to do that."
As always, our travelling supporters serenaded our Gunners from start to finish, and Alessia emphasised the importance of this, especially in a European game where we're further from home.
"They were brilliant. I think there was over 200 of them here, so incredible. We can never fault them every single game, home , away, Europe, anywhere in the world, they're with us.
"They're brilliant and hopefully we can give them more this season."
