EFL Trophy fixture against Wimbledon brought forward

2026-09-28 · Connor Booth

A new kick-off time has been issued for our under-21s trip to the League One side

Our third and final EFL Trophy group stage fixture of the season against AFC Wimbledon has been brought forward to an earlier kick-off time of 6pm (UK) on Tuesday, October 27.

David Horseman's young Gunners produced their best display of the season to beat Leyton Orient 2-1 in their second game, leaving us with three points having lost our opening game to Barnet.

The Bees will face Wimbledon in what will be the second group match for the two EFL sides on Tuesday, October 6, before we travel to south London three weeks later.

Barnet currently top the group on goal difference from ourselves, with Leyton Orient on two points and Wimbledon on one. Should Barnet come out on top when they face the Dons next month, we'd enter the final round of group matches in second place.

The top two sides in each group progress to the last 32, after which the tournament progresses in a traditional knockout bracket.
