Highlights: Chelsea 1-0 Arsenal Women

We suffered our first defeat of the season on Sunday afternoon, following a 1-0 reverse against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Alyssa Thompson struck the decisive goal in the first half, finishing after Anneke Borbe had made a strong diving save inside the Gunners' area.

Renée Slegers' side threatened at the other end both before and after the opener, but were ultimately unable to breach Hannah Hampton's goal.

A crucial week beckons for the Gunners, who head across the Channel to take on Paris FC in the Champions League on Wednesday night, before a trip to WSL leaders Manchester City.
