Emily Fox signs new contract

We’re delighted to announce that Emily Fox has signed a new contract with us.

Our number 2 joined us from North Carolina Courage in the United States in January 2024 and has gone on to make 93 appearances for Arsenal, scoring three goals.

“I’m so happy to be extending my stay here,” said Emily. “This has felt like home since the moment I joined, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent this club and compete for titles. To be a part of Arsenal is to be a part of something bigger, and I feel like I’m in the best place to keep pushing for more.”

Emily made an instant impact following her arrival, cementing herself as our first-choice right-back as she helped us to win the League Cup after just two months in North London.

Fresh from winning gold at the Paris Olympics in 2024, Emily returned for what would prove to be an historic 2024/25 season in red and white. Providing relentless energy at both ends of the pitch, Emily played an integral role in our thrilling UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign as we were crowned European champions for the second time in May 2025.

A third trophy followed in the 2025/26 season, as we became the inaugural winners of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup with a 3-2 win over Brazilian side Corinthians in the final at Emirates Stadium, with Emily providing a key assist for Lotte Wubben-Moy to score our second of the game.

Emily’s consistent contributions have drawn plenty of individual recognition during her time at Arsenal, with the 28-year-old included in the PFA Women’s Super League and the UEFA Women’s Champions League Team of the Year in both of her two full seasons with the club. Emily was also nominated for the Ballon d’Or in 2025.

Born in Virginia, Emily has made 78 appearances for the United States, having made her senior debut aged 20 in 2018. The 28-year-old has won several trophies with the USA, notably the CONCACAF Gold Cup and that Olympic Gold in 2024.

Everyone at the club looks forward to Emily’s continued contribution and impact here at Arsenal.
