Team news: Smith starts against the Seagulls

Renée Slegers has made two changes for our first Barclays Women's Super League game of the season against Brighton and Hove Albion, with Olivia Smith and Emily Fox returning to the starting line-up.

Smith, fresh off her PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year success, and Fox came off the bench in our pre-season victory over Charlton Athletic last time out.

The pair come into the side to replace Smilla Holmberg and Stina Blackstenius, who started in our 5-1 victory against the Addicks last week.

Four of our new summer signings are making their debut. Misa Rodriguez is in goal, Spaniard Ona Batlle is in defence, Georgia Stanway starts in midfield with Lisa Baum in attack.

Chloe Kelly returns to the matchday squad after recovering from an illness that kept her out last time out.
