Steph Catley has been nominated for the Australian PFA Player of the Year award.

Steph Catley has been nominated for the Australian PFA Player of the Year award.
She has won this award on three previous occasions: in 2020, 2024, and 2025, and is now looking to make it three in a row.
The player-voted annual awards celebrate the best-performing women’s players in Australian football throughout the 2025/26 season.
Nominees were selected based on performances between July 2025 and June 2026 in both club and international competitions, including the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup in Australia.
Steph made 28 appearances for us in all competitions last term and helped us win the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
The other Matildas nominated are Alanna Kennedy (London City Lionesses), Sam Kerr (Chelsea), Ellie Carpenter (Chelsea), Holly McNamara (Melbourne City), and Winonah Heatley (AS Roma).
The winners will be determined by a vote of PFA members.
The news comes off the back of a number of our players appearing in the PFA WSL Team of the Season, which Mariona Caldentey, Emily Fox and Alessia Russo all appeared in on Tuesday night, while Olivia Smith was crowned Young Player of the Year for the second season running.
