Olivia Smith has been named Women’s Young Player of the Year at the PFA Awards for the second season in a row.
Liv scored 10 goals in 38 matches in all competitions for us in 2025/26, and made an instant impact after arriving from Liverpool with a stunning opening day strike against London City Lionesses.
Later in the season, she went on to score in February’s 3-2 victory over Corinthians to help us secure the inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup.
She was competing for this award with Alyssa Thompson (Chelsea), Freya Godfrey (London City Lionesses), Laura Blindkilde Brown (Manchester City), Toko Koga (Tottenham Hotspur), and Veerle Buurman (Chelsea).
Liv was chosen by votes from her fellow professionals at the ceremony in Manchester on Tuesday.
Manchester City’s Lauren Hemp is the only other women’s player to win consecutive Young Player of the Year awards, which she did three times from 2019 to 2022.
As our supporters sing, “Liv Smith’s on fire, and she’s tearing the Super League apart!”
